Berry was one of the pioneers, certainly of "rock and roll" guitar, and in that way, he was influential to generations of guitar players to come after him.
His songs were also influential, even to the point where they were stolen by others, who changed the lyrics and released them as "their own" songs.

Are there any guitar players who are now over the age of 50 that didn't learn the riffs from Johnny B. Good when we were first learning? Very few, I would think, if any.
