Hi, this is my first post here, so please forgive me if this is in wrong area.
I need a mic that is good for Micing an alto saxophone and a piano and it should be at least moderately suitable for live situations. So far I've thought about Shure ksm 137 or AKG 451, but are there some other good alternatives? I play the sax by myself, so I don't mind if I need to make some bulky clamp to bell if it just sounds good and keeps the mic there. I'd also prefer if it works on percussions or strings, but they are not absolutely requred, just nice. I know that it is impossible to achieve anything "good" on a single mic with that price, but let's see what happens. I just don't have enough money to buy several mics.

Welcome!!
Andy's spot on. Of course, the mics you mention will be fine too. (I like the Shure myself.)
BTW - you don't want to mic a sax at the bell. You will only get some serious honking. You will want to mike from a distance of 2-3 feet and angle the mic so that as much of the sax is directly on axis as possible.
Cheers!!
