THere seems to be so much hype, at least I hear it, about Eventide processors like the H8000. Can anyone with first hand experience chime in on why these are SO spectacular. It's not that I dont believe it, I just want to know. I know that they do intellegent harmonization and reverb. Are they also a full blown effects processor with chorus/flange/phasing effects and all that? Delays too I suppose? I checked out their site but I still dont feel confident I know what the heck they do completely. Thanks.

If you have read thru the Users manual and checked out the Presets manual you should be able to tell exactly what it will do...or should I say what won't it do!
Eventide has always been high quality equipment...Lexicon makes nice stuff too for that matter...
If you're spending $5500 for an effects processor....how can you go wrong....??

Are you looking to use this for vocals?

Thanks guys. I was just curious AND dreaming. If I ever get past the debt I have accrued for my studio thus far, I might consider something like this. But I am huge into the VST world and I just have to wonder; is'nt the line going to blur between what this kind of hardware can do and what software can do? For that matter, there are now Eventide plugs for PT. I really wish I could demo one but there isnt anything like that around here anywhere.
