24-Channel XLR Splitter...

Hello!

I'm looking to split my snake! Really though, we have a little over 24 channels coming into our FOH mix via a really nice snake w/ floor pockets. That is working very well. However, now we may want to split those 24 channels to a recording mix as well. I've checked some of the prices and see split snakes around $750-1000 for a decent one, but we don't really need a snake. We just need to plug the existing snake into a splitter box and then we'll take XLRs out of the splitter, one set to the FOH mix (Maybe 5') and one set to the recording mix (Again 5').

So, I guess I just need a big black box with 24ins and 48 outs. Any ideas?

Thanks!

It ain't exactly cheap for 24 channels, but it's the only way to go:

ART makes similar products which are likely much more affordable:

I would consider them to be quite useful.

Of course, you need the extra cabling to go along with them too, which ain't cheap...
