XLR to 1/4 instrument cable?
Hello everybody,
Hello everybody,
Hey. Im looking at snagging a beater laptop to mess around with until my larger desktop system is built, and the space in the house cleared.
The laptop has an 1/8" combination mic/headphone jack. Commonly used for headset mics for gaming. Im presuming this is a trrs connector.
Greetings Recording.org!
Having an issue with my Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen 2 2i2.
I have tested both my microphone and the cable on a separate audio interface and have found them to work. I believe I have isolated the issue to the interface. Upon connection of an XLR cable, the input level led signal is flickering/flashing all over the place.
I have a Laney L5 Studio amp that has a XLR DI output. Can i use this output to connect to the AES/EBU input on the UFX audio interface. If so, do i need an AES/EBU cable for this or can i use a regular XLR cable?
this is pretty cool stuff. seems like a pretty painless way to patch into the world of Ethernet, without sacrificing your analog toys. max sample rates 96k, 48k on the usb one, but that's noes an issue for most things. id love to see an 8 channel, and ultra high sample rate model soon, for audiophiles and home theater applications. wifi support cant be too far away either.

Our local shop have mostly "Klotz" cables My204 and MY206. I need two as connection route is the following:
Interface <-----> CL-1 <----> Microphone
Hello All:
I have a very simple question regarding the Zoom R16 XLR combo input jacks.
I am very new to recording and I have an MXL 990/991 microphone. I do not have a recording interface, so I was wondering if I used an XLR to USB cord, if either of these microphones would work by plugging directly into my computer. I have read a few forums and they said you need phantom power from an interface or else they would not work, so I am just trying to avoid spending $100 on one.
Dear all,
I am looking for a solution to the following problem:
I have an old Medical Heart Sound Cardio Microphone (HM 692) from the former eastern-german company RFT, made in 1978:
