Can't say I have a favorite, but I do have a pair of Resolv 65a with a Res 88 sub. In my book they sound okay for Samson. My 2 cents are the speaks have to much highs and not very accurate mids, the sub has plenty of low end, but almost more like a low theater rumble, not a tight low sound. But overall once you get used to them, not a bad bang for the buck.

I use Samson Rubicon R5a monitors; I compared many monitors before I made my choice. I find them very clean sounding, especially in the upper-mid range to upper range. They may lack a little bass in my studio, but I blame my acoustics.
While doing comparisons with Event, KRK, and other 5" and 6" powered monitors, I found them to more accurately reproduce the reference music files (.aif files on my iPod) and CDs I brought. Most others tended to color the music and get overly punchy in the bottom-mids with an artificial sheen in the upper-mids. While the others sounded impressive, I felt they didn't really reflect the true music.
