Hey I am about to purchase the pro tools m box mini 2 and i want to know if i could connect my mixer (with 10 channels ) to my m box mini and record on the mixer so that i can get more channels..could i do that if i am recording in pro tools le

Yes it has dual analog line inputs. So you can send stereo out right/left into mini 2. Not really the best way to go preamp thru preamp but it will work. Better to directly track each track seperately but sometimes you just can't help it. I some times have to use a line mixer when recording live again not the best solution, but that does not have a preamp but does add noise and degrades the signal some.

Yes, you will get more channels BUT you will be mixing those channels to a stereo track. Once they are in ProTools or whatever DAW you choose to use, there will be no adjusting of individual levels or eq.

No, no more than two discreet mics each separately panned hard left and right will show up on their own separate tracks (or some / all of the sources on each channel of the mixer that are summed to stereo tracks) - depending on the routing you have set up on your mixer, naturally...

You would need more inputs on the Mbox that it does not have in order to record more than two discreet tracks at a time.

Your choices on that box are a single Mic, or L/R Line inputs, as stated above.
