I'm getting into mastering and wanted some opinions on different AD/DA converters. I'm sure this has been discussed before but I wanted to know which converter fits a certain style of music if any. I know they all have their own characteristics but need some info before I go out and spend $$$. I am doing more dance electronic, hip hop, aggressive music where the client wants it LOUD. It will eventually go to vinyl so the over all level doesnt matter just the apparent loudness i guess. Do some converters sound better when they are clipped? transparency or a certain sound? That sort of thing:P any input please
