I have a few recordings, but they don't have a consistent volume level for playing back on different electronics. Also the levels are not high enough when doing playback in something like Winamp.

Yeah it's an accumulative process, especially if aiming for loudness, though do you really want that?

You know the trade off with loudness can be distortion and a serious loss of dynamics.

If you are comparing your tunes with "pop" off the shelf tunes you may well need to send your tunes out for mastering for them to go through some expensive boxes, TC Finalizer for a very breif example.

With some of the more recent technologies however you can get this loudness on a project studio DAW.

I do both an un-mastered version and one of my versions ... so the client can chose what they want to do.

They can also go the mastering Eng with the complete PT session and mix.

If the client has paid ... I don't care what they do with it next. I don't even care if they give the recording and mix credit to themselves or someone else.
