Hi All,
I've been devouring these forums for the last several days and I must say I'm impressed with the quality of people and information on here. Not many forums like this one exist and I'm glad to have stumbled across it. Thanks for being here.

Getting to the point; I'm in need of a DAW and I've decided to build an ANUS. I have some experience with computers, but I've never built one before. So, I'm hoping someone might have some tips in this regard. Is there anything I should watch for. I'd like to make it through the build with relatively normal blood pressure if possible.
Thanks,
Mitchell

1) dont wear slippers on carpet while putting things together.. ever! Always touch the case first, or wear a wrist strap.

2) be careful, dont force things like pci cards into slots.

3) have the motherboard manual handy, and set it up for the cpu, (if you have settings to do) beforehand. Have drivers and mb cd ready.

4) I dont put everything in at once. I get it booting the bios first. making sure drives and cards are recognized. Then boot into the OS and install the new drivers/OS.

5). A clean new OS install is recommended.

Welcome to RO :c:
Indeed we are a friendly community who is willing to help in any way!
In regards to setups..
Ljp is correct!!! Grab the case when putting anything in to ground yourself. Before putting the motherboard in the case put the RAM and CPU on first then put it in the case. Install video card and all hard drives and cables...etc etc etc
Don't put any other PCI card in..install OS and connfigure..than install one card at a time. Make sure all drivers are happy..install programs and be on your way!!!
