Firewire card-For zed r16

I have a allen and heath zed r16 and it has a 6 to 6 pin and 6 to 4 firewire lead with it.I want to run it with my pc.Used to use delta 66.

Do I need to replace this card and put a firewire card in?If so any good ones recommended or do they all do the same job?

Replace which card? The Delta? If you have a spare PCI slot then just buy a Texas Instruments chipset firewire card and put it in. If you don't have a spare slot then you'll have to remove something and the Delta is fair game since the Zed is far superior.

The TI chipset isn't for the DAW (Sonar), it's so the computer speaks to the interface properly. It will work fine with Sonar.
