Hi!
I'm just curious about how your ANUS-DAW is running with Cubase SX. I've found a link to this test file in a swedish forum: http://www.fivetowe…"]CubaseSXTest[/]="http://www.fivetowe…"]CubaseSXTest[/]
When I did it my CPU-load was ~52%.
It would be interesting to see how your system is doing? I guess that Master Opus will probably win this test! :D
Well this is my system:
Asus P4B533-V Mobo
Intel P4 2.4 GHz 533MHz
512 Mb Samsung DDR PC2700
WD 120 GB AudioDrive
WD 120 GB OS-drive
Matrox G550 videocard
Win XP-Pro
RME-Hammerfall LE soundcard
Cubase SX
Finally, I did 95% of the "Opus-Tweaks".
It would be fun to see how different systems are doing in this test.

DD, well I also had problems with that link a few hours ago. But now it seems to work.
Leading their "high-score-list" is someone with 38% CPU-load... but you never know if they're telling the truth. To bad that there's only one Mac (notebook) on the list. It would be nice to see some G4's there. Anyway it would be nice to have a "number" on your DAW....Looking forward to the day I can say:
This one goes to 11 !
:D
Actually..the new Mini-Dac from Apogee goes to 11....no joke eit

Hi Opus! How's your life as "sambo"? (Sambo is the swedish word for "living-together-with-your-girlfriend-without-being-married-yet")
Any time for your DAW's?
I've been "sambo" for 3 years now, having 2 kids... so I know how hard it can be to spend time with my lovely "ANUS-machine".
Anyway, that Mini-Dac sounds like a very nice solution for a laptop DAW... or do you think it's worth trying out on desktop DAW's too?
Back to´the topic... Am I the only one that has tried the DAW-CubaseSX-performance-test?
I know that the link is slow ( I have to try it 2-3 times before it works) but the test is the only thing that I've found that can compare different systems. If someone would like to do do the test and can't access the site, I can email the testfile to you (it's a ~500kb zipfile).
Or maybe you've tried it but you're afrid to post the results? ;)
Tore, that link sems to be dead or not responding at this time.
Tore, that link sems to be dead or not responding at this time. Anyways, seems like a good idea. I'd like to try this just to see where I'm at with new system.
Will try link again tommorrow. :c:
