These apps are coming out for all digital mixers. So before you run right out, just wait a couple more months. But that PRESONUS studio live looks pretty bitchin'. After all, it's extremely affordable compared to the others.
Now you can mix live shows from your apartment at home, in your underwear.

I don't know about current generations of touch screens, but the first several had atrocious motherboards so I wouldn't have wanted them for a DAW computer.
I had to work with a touchscreen thingy not too long ago..
I, and that might only be my opinion..., can not see any advantage over a decent Mous-KB combi which you gonna need, anyway.
If you like to eat chocolate during mixing or occasionally picking your nose I even stronlgy advice against the use of a Touchscreen.

It works over WiFi. For all other things, I can VNC to the laptop. I have yet to get it working on the MacBook, but it works in Windows on my main DAW so far."
I've done lots of installations with Dell touchscreens over the past few years and they work fine. They just work as if they were a mouse pointer - so as long as I code the areas to be large - so basically we are talking "large mouse areas / buttons", work. Whether any DAW software has large enough mouse areas/buttons : read; few enough functions to strike a balance for you, I don't know.
Cubase is so small and fiddly, I can only image that you are looking for something just to do the basics - track select, play, stop, record, go home. On a Mac this could possibly be scripted fairly easily with a GUI, on a PC, no guess.
