Hi, I am trying to explore some of the different drums sounds in the 2K. There are a lot of great sounding drums. jazz trio and jazz quartet sound great except they have this odd volume swell going on. kit:accustic doesn't do that. Why would they create a preset with a volume swell...on drums no less. can it be flattened out?
Thanks
Sean

For some reason it is just the "real" ish sounding patches. I don't get it! I went through them again today looking for a way to get rid of the swell.
One thing I have to do is review in stereo and see if it isn't just a stereo chorus or something like that fattening up the sound.
also I'm going to do a full reset on the the unit and see if that doesn't fix it. I didn't do anything in the first place so...
I'll post an example post haste, as if I can figure out how to do that!!!
Thanks very much

I dunno exactly about the 2000 but I worked on the 2500 and many other E-mu boxed over the past 3 years or so. What you're describing could simply be a residual "edit" of that part's amplitude envelope. IOW, perhaps you had adjusted the attack on the drum part, changed patches and _that_ adjustment makes the drums "swell".
Do you maybe have a compressor patched to the outputs? That would make the drums appear to swell? Can you post an example of what you're doing?
