Ok,

I noticed that the matrox 450 card at newegg doesn't come with a cable. What type of cable does it need? I found this cable:

GWC KVM cable. 3 in 1. 6FT Male to Male Model 86000

Will this do the job?

Also, the WD drives at newegg are OEM. I'm buying some vantec round ide cable, is there anything else that I will need to have to install the drive?

thanks again,

kobuk

You don't need any extra cables...the one that come sout of your monitor is sufficient enough to hook right up to the main output..the secondary output of the matrox is a DVI but it comes with an adaptor to use it with a second analog monitor. So all you need is a monitor with the cable attached to the video card and you are all set to go..
Attach drive to cable....attache cable to motherboard...off you go!!
Enjoy and let us know how it goes!

Opus,

so there is no internal cabling like you need for ide drives etc.? I wouldn't have even thought about it I guess except that it said "comes without cable" and that made me nervous.

I'll probably place my order today so I'll let everyone know how it turns out in a week or so.

Thx,
