Wow, I'm surpised you still use the Q paragraphic EQ's....I found that using the Renaissance EQ's much better than the Q bands.

Power Dither from Digidesign? Wow...now that's balls to do. FFT on that puppy shows a really bad dither algorythm...

Anyways, my list is:

UAD Realverb (this is the *only* reverb I think is worth a shit in the box. Although I haven't tried the powercore or SIR yet.)

Here's the main question...when you dither from 24 to 16 with UV22 do you hear a difference?

When you dither with POW-r do you hear a difference?

If you say No with UV22 and Yes with POW-r..then you have to think foa moment there.

Most people that call me up at Apogee say they don't hear a difference between the 24 bit and 16 bit after UV22 has been applied..you know what I tell them..."EXACTLY"! That's the whole point..you should NOT hear a difference in any way!

Nika is a smart cat, I worked with him at Sweetwater and he definitely does his homework.

How old is that post and was he basing it off of the UV22 from Master Tools? If that could be the reason.

To be honest there is no more Master Tools.
Apogee is discontinuing it in a few short months.

So TDM users will have to use some other method at that point. You can thank Digi for that one.

Yeah, Its a really great bundle, soundshifters deffinately is the best pitch and time altering plugin I ever heard, when you pitch reduction sounds so much smoother than enything I ever heard, same goes with the time expansion too, smoother less of that time stretched sound. As for trans X its one of the most intuative plug-in that waves or any plug-in manufacturer has ever made, just another essentaul envelope shaping tool. the doublers great, really thick and spacious. the morphoder I haven't really dug into yet though.

Hi Alecio! Waves is definitely on top for me. The ones I used most are the C4, Ren Comp, L1 maximizer. Their de-esser is really nice too. If I can mention using a good tube pre like a vpm2000 and a quality mic into your DAW makes all the difference with esses. Then tweek things with a few plugins and you're rocking. I also love the virus.

I just received the new Steinberg brochure and that stuff looks really cool. I want more synth plugins! They have quite a few beauty's happening.
