Hi Massive Mastering:
Thanks for reply.
How s'ld i tweak the AdLimiter of Logic Pro?
which is the very first step?is the Input?
How s'ld i set it?set the as max as posible before peak on the Left Margin Meter?
out ceiling,what bout this?some say -3.
at last, what bout Gain?as max as posible?but seems it's easily to appear the Distortion/Overload situation when Gain up much...isn't it?so that, how s'ld i manage it?
Sorry for the long question...haa...but really need helps here.
Thanks

Don't listen to these people. They're wrong. Very wrong.
Maybe -.3 dB.
At the risk of beating that same dead horse, if you don't know the answer to these questions, you should probably read the sticky at the top of this forum and leave the mastering to the professionals. Not trying to be a jerk, just realistic.
Cheers-

Do you mind to lead me the way?i might need helps...Thanks and appreciate.

I think what he's getting at is that if you don't understand a brick-wall limiter - The absolute simplest possible control in the world of dynamics, then you probably need to put some serious effort into learning the basics of gain staging and dynamics.

Same here. It's simply that questions of this nature are almost always indicative of a much larger set of problems - Problems that need to be addressed long before worrying about settings on a limiter.

With those silly limiter plugins, the best thing to do is to find a middle ground, i.e. if it sounds distored, back it off a little bit. I use one in particular (not the one you have) when I want to cheat the level up for our demos and live-in-the-studio jam stuff - basically crap I don't really care about.
There's a certain point where you can hear the sound degrade. Once you've reached that point back the threshold off until the signal degradation is, shall I say, negligible?
I run my cheater plugin at -0.2dB output.
Always have, always will. Not sure why I do, guess it's a little OCD.
wow...Thanks for opinion and helps on sharing experiences.. Yep

Yep,i always run the AdLimiter as Bent..while distord will back-off a bit till it doesn't sound Leak.
Well, when it sound right..i found that the volume doesn't loud enough, ofcause it's now sound louder than before AdLimiter in use...
so,in this situation...how to make it loud enough with keep clarity quality?
~is the distortion or leaking or overloading cause by those HOT FREQUENCY?shall i fine tune it?
Thanks

I am not sure if English is your first language but it is always helpful to communicate in complete sentences, capitalize and punctuate correctly and not use terms that you do not understand.
Considering your posts and general lack of fundamental knowledge I would suggest doing your first mastering at a professional mastering studio so you can see how a professional does the mastering. Asking for settings is meaningless since no one here has any idea of how your music sounds or what you are trying to accomplish.
Best of luck.

(A) You use the settings you need.
(B) A large number (the vast majority) of mixes do not have the potential for "commercial loudness" even *with* and experienced mastering engineer at the controls.
