We tried the new Telefunken ELAM and it is not worth the 20k. Though the case. mic and accessories are a work of art, the mic was noisy and received RF very well.

I was asking him to try Telefunken 12ax7's in the STT Origin.
I'm using Mullards in all my 12ax7 equipment and it makes a huge difference to me. I even use them in my guitar amps although I switch them around if the sound isn't right for the song, but in my OB tube gear Mullard CV4004's all the way.

What is your source for them? When you bias them, how far off are they?
