With so many larger studios going under. Where would one look to find deals on equipment, that is from some sort of sell out? Or buyout?

I don't think that there are any less studios in business than needed. There are many new big rooms being built, and many existing rooms staying busy. It is the resident or leasing producer and/or engineer that is making the big room market happen. People owning a room just to book it out will dwindle.

The gear from the Hit Factory is going to me! Seriously...the company that has all of the gear is sending me their stock list once they've gone through everything. I'll make a few purchases if the price is right.

The person who runs the company handling Hit Factory left a post on RO for people to email him for a stock list.

Son of a beacth. Damn it all. So your the guy!
Ohh well, I'm spent anyhow for this week. I just got an Eventide Eclipse Thursday. It's brand new.
Not some used crap, like the sort of thing you would get from a rundown OLD studio named "The Hit Factory"
Of course I am only joking!
At least someone is getting the deals.
Hope you get some nice stuff from THF

There are tons of people that will be buying gear from the company that is...I guess liquidating the Hit Factory. Once I get the inventory list I can send it to you. Or you can find the post on RO and email him.

I want to buy some mics, pres, and compressors.....that's about all I'm looking to get from Hit Factory. Not much else I can afford.

They are going to go through every piece of gear, test it, and then either sell it with a warranty or "as is." It took something like 10 43foot trailers (I'm not sure on the number) to clear out the Hit Factory according to the email I received. It will be a few months for them to go through all of the gear and make an inventory list.

My last post made it look like I was some hot-shot buying up the Hit Factory gear....sorry about the mistake. I'm a little-shot that will probably spend less than 10k on a few things.
