Hey everyone,
So when I was traveling across country before, my firepod must have gotten knocked around a bit... It works completely fine but two of the red LED lights on the front for the gain knobs have fallen into the unit and I can hear them rattling around. It's not a big deal but obviously something that I would like to fix, I just don't want to pull a little too hard on something and rip a board in half. Any input is appreciated!

Haha thanks Remy, I'm not sure how they fell out so easily. I can live without them! I am just wondering if I need to take off the screws on the front of each mic input on the front of the unit before this whole thing will separate. On the outer edges there are only 4 screws, which look like it would split the unit easily into two pieces, but they don't separate. I guess I will have to shoot the company an email. If I do take it apart sometime soon I'll keep the polarity thing in mind as well, thanks!

I like that. Any input appreciated... LOL. How about 8? Fallen inside? The LEDs were dislodged completely loose? Solder doesn't usually do that. Well like any good audio guy, you have to grab that special screwdriver and you're going to have to remove the lid. Now put the screws in a little glass so you don't lose them. Draw a map if the screws are different sizes so that you don't stick them back in the wrong holes. I think you'll find it to be quite a nicely built unit inside if this is anything like their other stuff. You'll then want to carefully after removing the lid, turn it over on a flat clean surface. See what falls out. If nothing falls out, carefully shake it up a little bit or tapping lightly upon its bottom upside down. When you locate your LEDs, what are you going to do with them? Are you going to attempt to reinstall them? Or do you just want them to stop rattling around inside? Are these LEDs important visual aids in your work? Can you live without them? How complicated would they be to reinstall? How did they fall out so easily to begin with? You know they have a + & a - polarity when you wire them back in. So you have to know where the anode is going and the cathode. They are not bidirectional like resistors. So a quick e-mail to the company may be in order unless you can visually match it exactly to the others, that didn't lose their LEDs. I know I should be able to see this in my head but I have some brain matter missing and it's probably rolling around with your LEDs?
I can hear something rolling around in my head but I'm not sure how to get it out. Oh! All I had to do was sneeze.
