The output of the EMX-2300 is 1/4" TS phone plug unless I miss my guess. One speaker will be on the left and one on the right. Run one TS cable to each. The third speaker is not needed especially for a basement. In fact for most basements, two 12" speakers will be plenty loud enough. Those won't be big enough for a club but again pah-lenty for a basement. Now, the instruments and or microphones will plug into the back of the unit. Mic's will use XLR cables. Now it works just like a normal mixer. Set your initial gain from the rotary knob at the top and then adjust the mix level of the channel with the slider. Initially leave all the eq etc knobs at 0 or Unity whichever it has. EQ in the beginning and often at the end is used to CUT offending frequencies and not boost them. Save your ears as much as possible no matter how fun you think it might be to "turn up...the radio...."

Glad you're working. You should still download and read the manual even though it's a shi^^y scan. Our most professionally successful member would tell you the same. Even if you think you know all the functions and routing of the mixer already you can always glean some gem from the manual. RTFM. :-)

You are a little too vague. What are you wanting to do with this gear? Are you wanting to play in your garage or in a club? Are you wanting to record?
