A couple days ago I received some drum replacement software [Drumagog 5] as a gift. It already came with samples in it, but none that I'm really into. Where can I get some awesome drum samples?

I use BFD2 and Emulator X3 samples. Even though BFD 2 sounds more real I much prefer fatter kicks and processed sounding snares. E-mu acoustic sets are really nice.

I made my own. People reading this probably thinks this is stupid but it worked very well. I had a yamaha s90 keyboard and found a pretty good sounding snare. I recorded it onto my computer, put some effects on it, like compressors and what not, and saved it in drumagog as a preset. It sounds good. I did that with the toms and kick. Not the cymbals though. And one more thing.... If the drums they sent you is called DEMO COLLECTION, there are some others on there website for free. They are not the best sounding ones but they are better than the demo collection. Heres a link to my bands youtube channel. You can here the drums that I've made.

I thought I'd bring to attention the Black Friday Sale on at http://www.analogdrums.com . The sale offers a "buy one get another one free" deal. These kits are sold at a good price at the best of times, but on sale I think they are a real bargain. There are avariety of different styles of kits available, and they sound very good. (I admit that I have been involved in the recording and/or editing of some of these kits). Recorded with some awesome gear (vintage and modern) in great sounding rooms....they are definitely worth checking out if you are looking for top notch drum samples.
