When I went to New Zealand to make a recording, before I left the United States, I went to one of those international electronics stores. There are numerous power "adapters" available. I think you will probably find that any adapter worth having would-be sizable enough to take full advantage of a standard electrical home power outlet. So I recommend a simple 20 amp electrical power transformer/adapter. No active electronics. It's just a transformer. It's about the size of your fist and weighs in around a pound. Plus, It is bidirectional. You can step up from 120 volts to 240 volts or step down from 240 volts to 120 volts. So it would still be effective for a small guitar amplifier, some recording equipment, your laptop, etc. All at once.

By virtue of the electrical transformer, it offers further isolation and filtering. They're relatively cheap. So it's this little box that has both an outlet and a cord. With various electrical outlet adapters. You just have to remember which way/direction you're going. Up or down.

Hi Remy, thanks for the response. this is exactly what i have purchased (bidirectional transformer). my only concern was whether the presonus power supply would exceed the maximum output of the transformer (it is limited to 100W)... i would imagine with ur experience it would work fine??

I assume you have a "wall wart" supplied to you.

If this is a permanent situation (leaving it down under), I would find a 240V wall wart that has the same output, and pin configuration as the 120V wall wart.

I would call or email Presonus and get their input and advice. They may know of a specific product to do what your asking or at least what to aviod. There may offer some details that you might need to be aware of.

Even allowing for poor power factor, it should work fine as a temporary measure. A better long-term solution would be to find a 15V 2A transformer and fit the right sort of low votage plug for the Presonus unit.

thanks for the comments guys... i just used a transformer converting 120V single to 240V and the presonus unit is working fine.
