I hope some of your opinions will help me decide on some upgrades to the voice-over DAW where I work (media production and post). We have 5 nice MacPros, but the VO machine is a G4. It should be enough for the audio we need to do. The interface is an older MOTU 828 (not mk).

New DAW:
I use Cubase at home to record music, and I like it.
At work, we use Final Cut for video editing, and have been using Soundtrack Pro to record VOs. I've really tried to like Soundtrack, especially since it's made to integrate with FCP, but the more I use it, the less impressed I am. The input and output meters don't read the same, and they don't even have dB markings (am I missing something?), among other non-intuitive aspects.

Anyway, I'm trying to decide on a new DAW, and possibly a new interface. I'm thinking either an Mbox with Pro Tools LE, or the Lexicon Lambda wit Cubase SE. I know some clients aren't as familiar with Cubase for post-type work as Pro Tools or Nuendo - so that's actually a consideration. However, I'm more familiar with Cubase, and if the company grows then Nuendo would be an easy upgrade (and probably less expensive than Pro Tools HD from LE, right?)

Opinionsor other suggestions? Do the old 828s still stand up to the preamps on these newer, cheaper interfaces?

Plug-ins:
We're considering a couple nice plugins to sweeten the VOs and beef-up some stuff for radio and tv. Everybody knows Waves is great - but any other suggestions? There has been such an influx of new plugins, and I'm sure many of them are good.
