We are going to mix UFO, despite the corrupt snare. If you're worried, mix something else. Personally, I wouldn't be worried. This is an easy fix.

If this is the song you would like to mix then sign-up here. If you would like to discuss the problems with UFO, discuss them at the UFO dilemma thread.

Sign-up for ONE song only.

I guess I'm late getting in on this...but I'd love to give it a shot, and test drive some of my new toys.

I think the corrupted snare track will bring up some pretty cool variations, and likely some slick (sick?) reconstruction techniques...I'm looking forward to it (if you'll have me).

To summarize the current state of signups:

These people want .wav files:

Pointman: Scenaria / Steve J / Orlando Florida
Dr. Frankencopter/ Kris Ellis / Ottowa
Cram / Tom Cram / Salt Lake City
Keijo Koppel / Keijo Koppel / Estonia
Brad McGowan / Brad McGowan / Palo Alto, CA
Wisch / Mike Wischkaemper / Carlsbad, CA
Alex Natan / Alex Natan / Buenos Aires
Aaron Carey / Aaren Carey / Phoenix
Dedric / Dedrick Terry / Plymouth, Mass

These people need Mac SDII (or presumably AIFF) files:

PlanB / Arthur De Kegel / Belgium
Amighetti Ronnie / Amighetti Ronnie / Italia

I have offered to duplicate CD-Rs.

One other thing, its cool if there is no cap on the number of participants but I think we need to set a cap as to the last date to signup. It isnt realisitc to keep track of everyone if we have new participants signing up every day over the next few weeks.

perhaps we can set a deadline for next Tuesday or something?

Scenaria,

If it is of any help to you, I could provide Ronnie with the SD2 files, since he is in Italy and I'm in Belgium. To me it's just a very small effort and that way you only have to do 1 CD with the SD2 files to send overseas.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks for being the pointman.

BTW, I noticed you're in Orlando, I'm quite often in Kissimmee/StCloud... small world

it would be good for me.

Ronnie, yes, there was. Keijo is the one.

Also, I, while "officially" mixing "She's the man", am going to mix this one aswell like Keijo will also be mixing "She's the man" - we actually do live about 15 kilometres apart. So there are many people in Europe wanting to mix UFO.

The bad thing is - Keijo wants the files in .wav format so I don't know if this would be of any help that we are in Europe... But PlanB was in Belgium and he wants Mac SDII format so this one will be a bit easier.

We must not forget the fact that Lenz from Ajja IS actually located in Denmark - it could be more effective not to ship the CD-s to the States to Scenaria and then ship them all the way back to Europe...

Any thoughts about this?

I want to mix "UFO". I will mix it on a Digi001 so I will need any kind of digital audio file format, but preferably SD2 / 24Bit / 48.

I have cable so I can download from any kind of FTP, Carracho, Hotline or HTML server... Just post were they will be published or e-mail me manuel@almabohemia.com

I am no expert on mixing or anything like that, I am just starting on all this audio stuff so I don't promise anything, I just want to use this opportunity to learn more each day...

Thanks a lot
