Yes - if the mix is 96/32 then send the ME the same. I get most of my projects as .wav or .aif files on data CD at whatever format the project was done in.
The Best format is the one that the ME says they can support. 32bit is a little odd if you're looking for universal acceptance. 24/96 would be ideal for most houses. 24/44.1 anyone should be able to accept. You can archive in whatever format you want, but you should deliver in the format that your ME can use.
