Hey Guys,
This is my first post on this forum as I was introduced to it by a member over at the DUC.
I have just finished mixing a song and I'm curious about taking it to the next step of mastering. Originally I started out with the idea that I would get it professionally mastered but because their are no facilities in the city where I live, it would have to be somewhere further down the country.
I came across http://www.emasters.co.uk round London area, where by you choose a service, upload your wav to their server and they master the track for you. I'm not sure if theres any place to specify your anticipations for the song or a preference or some other tracks to go by but I would have thought this to be assential in getting the sound you want.
I'm on a very small budget and this place seemed ideal at £40 per song using outboard gear.
I really wanted to try and master it myself or atleast have a go to give some of my plugins some use and save up on my money for now. I dont know which would be the best route to take. I want to get the best sound possible and would be prepared to pay for the service.
As far as plugins go, I'm using the Waves Platinum bundle and also have the L3 which seems a complete waste of money as I've no idea what I'm doing when it comes to limiting.
Any general direction for my situation would be appreciated.

I have left a link to the song on concern 'Everything Me' and an example of my own mastering attempt 'Walk Away'
If someone would be kind enough to take a listen and give me any advice from there.
My main concern is as stated and would like to get this one polished off.
Thanks in advance
Chris Tempest
