Hi...i am a newbie to home recording and would greatly appreciate any and all insghtful comments to my predicament...

i will be finishing my project shortly (Indian Remix album) which I will take to a pro-studio to get mixed and mastered...have been pre-mixing and editing at home (Nuendo)...my question is, when i do a mixdown of the individual tracks to take for pro-mixing, should i be mixing down at 24bit even though the song is done at 16 bit?...what about 44 vs 48?...project done as 16/44...

That all depends on the studio you take it too. Call and ask how they would prefer you send it as well as what capabilities they have. If it were me, I'd prefer it in the raw format of the highest bit rate and sampling rate that we both have to work with. I'd also like to get a rough mix from the client to get an idea of what they were doing and trying to achieve.
