We have 2 classic sadies and one 24/96 sadie.
We have to go in surround and I'm testing lot's of speakers at this moment.
Next week I have to do a surround mastering and I will use the hardware dolby encoder/decoder to make ac3 files.
But I saw on the internet this seqouia where you have the possibility to use a dolby ac3 plugin .
I also saw that ted jensen from sterling sound
find it his favorite editing system.
I'm in doubt and I like to know if you guys can tell me more about this system and also about this ac3 plugin .
Thanks already.

I did get a quick demo of the system at the AES show. It looks highly influenced by Sonic Solutions as far as layout goes. I don't know about the AC3 plug in. I don't see any mention of it on there website. If you're serious about getting a new DAW it's worth checking out.

I'd say the layout is a lot closer to Samp 2496, although more features with Sequoia.

I received a " not for resale sequoia"
Right now I'm doing my first surround job
with sadie.
Complicated, but very interesting.
I must say that I learn a lot, just as in the beginning of mastering stereo.
After this job I definitely will check this sequoia tool.

- http:// and click on "user forum" if you have an installed microsoft outlook express.
there are many sequoiausers, so just ask your questiuons there.
btw., sequoia and samplitude are now getting marketed by emagic.
