Hi all and thank you for having me on the forum at recording.org. This query will no doubt seem strange compared to most of the requests you have on here however we have been tasked with setting up a conferencing suite in a new office based in Nottingham. They use an HP laptop to run gotomeeting which is outputted through 3 60 inch Tvs. They have a Microsoft LifeCam webcam to record the conferences however the built in microphone doesn't provide the desired level of sound recording. I was wondering if anyone could suggest an Omni-directional microphone that could sit in the centre of the table and pickup sound from around the room? It needs to look professional and be as inconspicuous as possible. It also needs to have a fairly long cable with a 1/4" or 3.5mm jack to plug straight into the laptop. The room is around 30 metres x 5 metres and has an oval table in the centre where the attendees would sit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, apologies if this is posted in completely the wrong place, even on the wrong forum!
