The NT2 makes few demands on a pre-amp apart from needing 48V phantom power. It's the user who makes the demands in terms of what sound he wants, the style of music it is to be used for and the budget he has.
You have a lot of choice in this price range, some good, some terrible. In a single-channel unit, you can get just a pre-amp, or a "channel strip" that has EQ and maybe compression as well.
There has been LOTS of advice in these forums on different mic pre-amps, so use the search facility. However, at that price point you could do worse than look at the DBX 286A as a channel strip.
We are using a BLUE microphone's Robbie preamp and it sounds GREAT with the NT2. Most preamps should do a great job with this microphones since it is very neutral sounding to begin with.
