HI
IM USING A Tascam 4 TRACK.I WANT TO RECORD DRUMS ONTO ONE TRACK. I WAS GOING TO USE A CONDESER FOR AN OVER HEAD AND A DYNAMic FOR THE BASS IN THE INPUTS OF THE PHANTOM POWER SUPPLY THEN USING AN XLR SPLITTER FROM THE OUTPUTS INTO ON OF THE TRACKS ON THE Tascam...THEN I REALISED THERE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM.

HERES THE QUESTION. . WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I PLUG THE DYNAMic Mic INTO THE PHANTOM POWER SUPPLY? IM HOPING THE PHANTOM POWER SUPLY COULD ACT AS A MIXER, MINUS THE EQ.
HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE..

Stop YELLING! It does not make any sense at all. A power supply acting as a mixer? Next we will be using mixers as power supplies to charge our car batteries.
If however you are asking in an unknowledgeable way if phantom power being on will hurt the dynamic mic the answer is it will not.

In general, you are looking for a microphone combiner like the ART SpliCom.

Specifically you are unlikely to get anything decent combining two such disparate microphones into one input channel.

Applying phantom power to many dynamic mic's will not hurt them but there are no 100% guarantees in the world. Applying P48 to most ribbon mic's will kill them.

Easy there cowboy.

When you type in caps you are doing the equivalent of shouting. To top it off, you were using terms completely incorrectly and/or showing you have zero knowledge of the concepts involved. Just take a deep breath and start learning some things. This is one of the most accepting listservs for new folks but we do expect a modicum of self sufficiency and a certain thickness of skin as well.
