Hi, new to this forum. I have a AKG D880 Emotion mic, which I bought about 4 years ago. Recently, I've noticed a lot of mid-freq's in the recording, like the mic is completely missing its warmth that it used to have. I have the completely same setup as I did before, except Cool Edit Pro 2.0 instead of 1.1., and I can clearly tell the difference while listening to older records. Is the mic really broken? Is there something I might be able to do, for example take the parts out and clean it properly?
