Just getting into recording...Are there any condensor mics that don't need phantom power to work?

2 others that come to mind are the Cad E-100s (Which I love) and
2 others that come to mind are the Cad E-100s (Which I love) and the AKG C1000 (which I don't love much at all).
You can find the E-100s on ebay used for about $150 each. They are well worth it.
They are both mid sized diaphram mics.The C1000s can be a little hard on the upper end.
