We'll be comparing 4 mics for vocal recording this week (thanks for the suggestions for which budget mics to try!), and so far I'm planning on just putting them up one at a time and recording the singer trying to sing the same thing the same way for each take.

But just wondering if it would be worthwhile to try and record 2 mics per take so at least the exact same take could be compared for each pair of mics? And if so, whaddya think would be the best way to set up and angle the mics for testing this way?
