Hi,

I have a Behringer DEQ2496 mastering processor and I know it is possible to control it from MIDI.

The question is how?

I have never set up or used external hardware to be controlled from a DAW. Has anybody done it with the DEQ2496?

I plugged the midi out of the computer into the midi in on the DEQ2496, but I don't have another cable right now to plug the out of the DEQ to the in of the computer, is it necessary?

Anyway in Cubase SX (V2) you can add new device to be controlled, but it just says in the help to select your device and the DEQ is not on there. I tried selecting 'generic remote' but I have no idea where to go from there. I got a 'MIDI Implementation Chart' from the Behringer website and its full of 'modnr/NRPN MSB, lrmode offset /
NRPN LSB, len, data, value and remarks' ?..but I'm just thinking wtf?
