I'm in the process of purchasing a Tascam US-428, which comes with [Cubase] VST  . Now, from what I've read Cubasis has all I need to compose, produce and record (on CD) all of my musical ideas. Is this true? And also, what are the benifits of Cubase over this version...anyone?

No..it comes with Cubasis!! You can only use the 428 with it..you cant add any more than 8 tracks..you cant record more than 2 tracks at a time without doing a workaround to get 4 at a time. You cant add VSTi's..you can add effects but you are limited to how you can use them. Dont use the bundled version solely. you can get the full version of Cubase for half off when you purchase a 428!! That my friend is a bargain and a half!!
Anybody in their right mind will definately tell you to get the full version of Cubase over the bundled or regular version of Cubasis!!!
Check out the differences on the Steinberg.net or Cubase.net sites
Just dont get caught in the lame forums over at Cubase...just a bunch of yutzes with nothing else to do than bitch whine and complain about peoples "opinions"!!!!
