That flicker might be the tap tempo feature. Read the manual about it (downloadable from Lexicon site).

I've been digging the manual all over, and also tried to figure things with Lexicon representive, and searched their knowledge base.
No success...

It flickers rather than flashes!

It seems odd that ONLY the "rotary" related presets behave strange?!

Do you own a MPX110?
Can you PLEASE take a moment to check your unit behavior?
