As a video editor working on Avids I've heard that Pro Tools is the perfect complement(Control 24 or Pro Control) since they are both under the same company umbrella. My question is do all of you recording guru's agree or If you had the budget would you get something like the new Euphonics 5 series. We are primarily doing short form projects.

Personally, I've never been a big fan of the sound of the Euphuctus consoles. Then again, I'm not a big fan of the sound of stock Pro-sTools either.
What are you trying to do with this? Are you doing 'mix to picture' post work? If you are, there just happens to be another forum dedicated to that sport...you might try asking the question there.
