The sound a real plate reverb is a real lovely thing. But the expense, size and space it takes as well as the periodic adjustments don't usually justify the cost for most people. Digital plate reverb is perfectly acceptable and has been used for years. Just don't skimp and use cheap, crappy digital reverbs.
