Does anyone else get this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12 bytes) in /home/www/recording/modules/Forums/search.php on line 640

when they try to view "new posts since last visit"?

I've been seeing that all day :?

Karl,
Yes, I have been getting the same message ... also when doing other searches ..

I have emailed Chris and I am sure he will address the problem, asap.

There are some new features that are going to be appearing here at RO (I can't let the cat out of the bag just now but be assured you will all love them) and it's possible (I am guessing here) that we have run into a memory shortage or some other "bug" in the process. All problems will be fixed as soon as Chris becomes aware of the problem.

This is the price we pay for a forum that is constantly growing by leaps and bounds. I myself am amazed at how fast RO is becoming the premiere site of it's type on the net. Sorry for any inconvenience.

On another note, it's interesting to see that someone else uses this RO feature... I have wondered about that..

Hi, it appears we have maxed out the mysql session table that keeps track of last topics viewed. The board's mysql data base keeps id session records up to 30,000 members last visits or topics viewed. Seems the default setting of 30,000 is maxed out now. There is a fix that I'm working on. Oh we grow but so do headaches.

The beast needs feeding again lol.
