You're pretty much out of luck. I've been using one for 2 years now and basically have found a formula that has it at it's best. Windows ME with all the tweaks (I can point you to a great page but I don't have it on me), 1.4ghz Athlon, Cakewalk 9 and a bunch of tweaking. The latency is just barely perceptible but not anywhere near the new cards like RME's. I'll be upgrading to Nuendo, Hammerfall, and an RME ADI8 pro DS soon. I saw last year that someone was independently creating their own 824 drivers but I don't have the link anymore.
