I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Alesis io|2 unit? I haven't been able to find much on it, but it is relatively new.

It seems to be exactly what I'm looking for in my setup.

I want a simple 2in/2out audio/MIDI unit. I'll be running mics, guitars, and keyboards in the inputs. I'll be using it for both recording and live. I'll be using it with a Powerbook in a live situation to run NI B4 via keyboard w/ MIDI connection.

It seems like every other unit I had either specialized in MIDI and digital type inputs, or just audio and no midi. The flexability of impedance on the inputs is key for my application.

This is literally the only unit of its kind I could find. The price is perfect for me...$199.

I know Alesis has made some great products, so I just want to know what some of you might think.
