I've been recording for a few years for my own enjoyment, and I use my recording gear as my stereo system also. Last year I got a pair of fostex PM0.4 powered monitors, which i quite enjoy. I'm considering getting some kind of a simple powered sub to use with the monitors, it doesn't have to be anything fancy and I will probaly just use it to listen to my CD collection etc, not necessarily for recording and mixing. If anyone has any suggestions for a sub, they would be appreciated. THe monitors are pretty small, with 4 inch "woofers"
Also the monitors have TRS and RCA inputs, so would i be able to run my CD player or sound card's line out into the sub, then go from the sub's line or RCA outs into my powered monitors?
Thanks
Matt

Yes, if you get a sub that has 2-channel full-range inputs and high-passed outputs. Beware, though, no matter how good or bad the audio performance is, the really cheap subs tend to have sub-standard filtering, so I should avoid those if you want your main speakers to sound as they did. The KRK S10 is a great sub if you can stretch to it.
