A few months ago I bought a Digital Audio Wave 8799 laptop. It's a P4 3.4 gHz, 1 gig of ram, the works. It cost a pretty penny and is supposedly designed for audio.

But since I got it, it has made an incessant clock-accurate beeping sound that comes from the actual hardware. I can hear it coming from under the keyboard, and nothing gets rid of the beep except disabling the USB controllers. The beep also gets into any cables attached to the computer, whether it be through my Echo Layla24 or the internal jacks. The beep even backflows into the power supply and emits from there, but when I unplug it the beep goes away from the power supply and continues in the computer.

DAW has been cooperative with taking the PC back to work on, but once it went to the OEM and once to them and the problem was not fixed. They don't know what it is, and they even replaced the motherboard. It's back at the OEM now, and they say they've replaced nearly everything and it's still there.

Does anyone think this is a design flaw? Has anyone had these kind of problems? Should I demand a refund?
