I've had it for years and my memory tells me it's not quite as 'solid' sounding, but to be honest, that's probably just age - it has the lovely original Dr Who sound - the dum-de-dum, dum-de-dum sound that is rather nice - disco bass, or something I think it's called. I don't use it much but it's good.
