Any of you folks come across a metallic, high pitch noise in the monitors apparently being caused be LCD displays? Swap them for CRTs & the noise vanishes :?
Unfortunately, LCDs and CRTs do cause interference. You may want to look into some ferrite cable surrounds to use both at the incoming and outgoing ends of your computer monitor cable. You may want to try a different brand of LCD? Try moving your stuff around but that still may not eliminate the interference.

(ooooooppss, interference, gggrrrrrrr)
CRT displays is usualy noisie cause of the image tube wich works on a very high voltage.
The LCD displays can often emit noise cause of a cheap DC transformer. Trie to get a cleaner/higher quality DC transformer to the LCD displays.
I had that problem on a pair of KTC lcd's, Turned out to be some form of earth loop....., I butchered a couple of VGA cables and removed the earth wiring from the pc end. Did the trick, just looks a bit messy now. (one day I'll do it properly)
Friend of mine solved the same problem by pulling the earth lug off the power supply.
but that's on my list of thing's not to do, just in case it kills me.

Is it an audible noise or is it in your signal chain? I haven't
Is it an audible noise or is it in your signal chain? I haven't noticed yet, but I'll check.
CRTs are not so guitar friendly either :( .

Thanks Remy, I'll try that. Would it be worth throwing a mains filter on the monitor in case the noise is bleeding in through the earth?
