Any of you folks come across a metallic, high pitch noise in the monitors apparently being caused be LCD displays? Swap them for CRTs & the noise vanishes :?

Unfortunately, LCDs and CRTs do cause interference. You may want to look into some ferrite cable surrounds to use both at the incoming and outgoing ends of your computer monitor cable. You may want to try a different brand of LCD? Try moving your stuff around but that still may not eliminate the interference.

I had that problem on a pair of KTC lcd's, Turned out to be some form of earth loop....., I butchered a couple of VGA cables and removed the earth wiring from the pc end. Did the trick, just looks a bit messy now. (one day I'll do it properly)
Friend of mine solved the same problem by pulling the earth lug off the power supply.
but that's on my list of thing's not to do, just in case it kills me.
