I am currently looking at several quotes on DAW tunkey systems. The more info I get the more these sales guys confuse me. They all say something different!
What's the best os for daw?

I agree also, Win2000 is solid, with low latency, I have a dual boot machine, Win98SE also very good. If your buying from Carillon, beware the MAXI-STUDIO ISIS machine. They don't mention that the Guillemot ISIS sound card will never run Win2000(hardware issues with the Dream chip). Others may steer you to Win98SE because the card in the turnkey system only works with Win98SE. The best manufacturers have their software in good working order. Some manufacturers are out of business altogether, so check first! :eek:
