my band is doing an album where we all share in the publishing of all the songs. one of the members wants to record a version of one of the songs he was primarily responsible for with another side group that he has. we will still be listed as authors and the ascap publishing company will be listed as well. even though we are doing this on a small regional scale, what are the logistics of him covering our version. does he need written permission and what mechanicals- if any- are due to us? thanks.m.c.
